This principle includes our commitment to observing your pet's behavior during the visit and notifying you by phone of any apparent illness or something out of the ordinary.

Our top-quality services include: mid-day dog walking, pet sitting, overnight in-house care, grooming and transportation services.

Happy Hounds enjoys an excellent reputation for the professional pet care services we have provided in the Arlington and Alexandria areas since October 2001. One reason for our success is our strong record of providing the same professional caregiver on a daily basis and/or while you are away from home. This permits your pet and the care provider to develop a bonding relationship.

We are fully licensed, bonded and insured and are members of Pet Sitters International. To assure your pet's safety and your satisfaction with our service all caregivers must pass an extensive background check as well as the “Zeke, Pepper and Lily” test before being hired by Happy Hounds. Ask Kim to explain this test when you and your pet meet with her!

We are strictly a “one-on-one” walking service. This means that we walk dogs from one (1) household at a time. If your dog needs to go to the dog park (the county provided fenced-in playground) for recreation or other purposes we will be glad to work with you on the individual needs of your pet(s).
